FIP – the International Pharmaceutical Federation
FIP is a worldwide federation of national pharmaceutical associations. Through its member associations, FIP connects, represents and serves more than one million pharmacists and pharmaceutical scientists around the world. FIP was founded in 1912 in The Hague, The Netherlands, and still has its Headquarters there. Although FIP is a federation of associations, any pharmacist can apply for an individual membership.
Individual members of FIP are allocated to sections according to their fields of interest. The largest section is the Community Pharmacy Section with approximately 2,700 members. The Secretariat for the Community Pharmacy Section of FIP is housed at Pharmakon. Professional Secretary of the Section is Ms Eeva Teräsalmi.

EuroPharm Forum
The EuroPharm Forum was founded in January 1992 and is a joint network of national pharmaceutical associations and the WHO Regional Office for Europe. The Forum's aim is to contribute to improved health in Europe according to priorities set by the WHO by strengthening all aspects of the pharmacist contribution to public health in Europe. This work is effected through dialogue and co-operation with the 38 national pharmaceutical member associations (29 countries) and the WHO.
Pharmakon has housed the Secretariat of the EuroPharm Forum since summer 2006. Professional Secretary is Ms Kirsten Holme Christensen.
